the unknown pages of The Known History. ... “THERINTHA VARALATRIN THERIYATHA PAKKANGAL” which simply means,

Krishnavel T S : I had specifically joined this group, for one reason
Hinduism is the only religion, in the world, that is still practicing RACISM and discrimination based on which parent you are born to, as its core strength.
When I discuss certain serious social issues pertaining to Hinduism, Globally many people either can’t relate to it or rather don’t understand the context.
Even, when report about certain posts to Facebook, they say that it is well within the Facebook community standards.
For the sake of Global Audience, who doesn’t really know the essence of Hinduism, I would like to give a small introduction.
Hinduism, as against the popular belief and claims is not a religion that is 5000 years old, it is just some 1800 years old.
All over the world people have first, middle and last names; if you look at India superficially it will look normal for a person not belonging to India, but it is not as similar as you think.
In India, one’s surname explains to which Caste (you can call it RACE in the Global perspective) one belong to.
In India, a surname determines to which of the four caste category you belong to, out of the four namely, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaisyaas, Sudhras & last but not the least, the Outcaste people who are considered untouchables.
Yes you heard it right “Untouchables”, Hindu religion even in these modern days has a great number of people to be classified as untouchables, nothing less to the European racist discrimination. These people are still not allowed to enter in to temples in villages, they can’t bathe in ponds, even worse in some places they can’t even enter into many streets.
Dirty & Menial Jobs like Manual Scavenging, removal of dead carcasses etc are allotted to them traditionally and even today.
The Brahmins considered to be superior Caste enjoy all best things in the society and all over India only a Brahmin can work as a priest in any temple and no other person can conduct prayers in India. The rest of the 3 has classified as Ruling Race, Merchant Race and Slave Race respectively, Outcaste are not even slaves they are considered even lower than slaves.

Manual scavenging is Aryan Conspiracy :Each job reserved for particular caste. Manual Scavenging is reserved for native people of India.

Manual scavenging has been glorified since the time of Mahatma Gandhi. It hasn’t changed now with prime minister Narendra Modi describing it as an “experience in spirituality”. Manual scavenging is dehumanising. And despite the laws created to abolish it, the news of manual scavenging and manual scavengers dying in sewers and septic tanks are not unheard of. The article, Clean India, unclean Indians: Beyond the Bhim Yatra, published in Economic and Political Weekly dated June 25, 2016, deals with these issues and more in detail.
The ground reality
Manual scavenging continues to draw the attention of policymakers, judiciary, executive, civil society organisations and the media. In reality, however, it is still flourishing in urban India. Most people who make a living as sanitary workers in the cities belong to the Balmiki caste which has been doing this job traditionally. The article says that one of the major achievements of the colonial administration of the past and the ruling political parties of the present is moulding this community into accepting scavenging as their tradition. In fact, the state is the largest agency which employs and pays over a million scavengers.
With their new identity of safai karamchari given to them by the state, it may appear that they have earned a secular status in the society. That’s not all, social scientists call them ‘professionals of the city’ and the Delhi Municipal Corporation has named them swasthya kamgar (the health workers). But the reality doesn’t do any justice to these seemingly respectable identities.
A number of organisations like National Commission for Safai Karamcharis and media organisations working at the grassroot level have reported that in India, the state is the biggest offender in maintaining their status quo. The article argues that urbanisation has made the members of the marginal castes more closely identifiable with the scavenging occupation and the local authorities perceive scavengers--a majority of them, women--as indispensable functionaries of the state.
Social and economic exploitation
Traditionally, the marginal castes were assigned all the jobs perceived as unclean or dirty, such as the disposal of sewage and animal carcasses, and were viewed as unworthy of even being touched. Although, caste is not openly discussed now, urban scavengers continue to be discriminated as their ‘unclean work’ is identified with their caste.

RSS guys are not even Hindus? /One group converted to Hinduism as Chitpavan Brahmins, the other remained Jewish or Bene Israe

RSS guys are not even Hindus:-) //One group converted to Hinduism as Chitpavan Brahmins, the other remained Jewish or Bene Israel//lol.. People are finding the truth now. Power of western freedom and platforms to research and communicate truth as it is- from people to people without any perverted intermediary. Thanks Jose Kissinger. Your time and energy is energizing. We are the beneficiaries of your research and knowledge. For Tamils, four other stalwarts to follow are Anthony Fernando, Bala G and Valasavallavan, Kalai far as I know. Amazing friends!

There are two common mythological theories of origin among the Chitpavans. The more contemporary theory is based on the etymology of their name meaning "pure of mind", while an older belief uses the alternate etymology of "pure from the pyre" and is based on the tale of Parashurama in the Sahyadrikhanda of the Skanda Purana.[7][8] The Parashurama myth of origin is identical to the myth that claimed by the Bene Israel of the Kolaba district. According to Bene Israeli myth, the Chitpavan and Bene Israel are descendants from a group of 14 people shipwrecked off the Konkan coast. One group converted to Hinduism as Chitpavan Brahmins, the other remained Jewish or Bene Israel.
After the fall of the Maratha Empire in 1818, the Chitpavans lost their political dominance to the British. The British would not subsidize the Chitpavans on the same scale that their caste-fellow, the Peshwas had done in the past. Pay and power was now significantly reduced. Poorer Chitpavan students adapted and started learning English because of better opportunities in the British administration.[17]
Some of the prominent figures in the Hindu reform movements of the 19th and 20th centuries came from the Chitpavan Brahmin community. These included Dhondo Keshav Karve,[26] Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade,[27] Vinayak Damodar Savarkar,[28][29] Gopal Ganesh Agarkar,[30] Vinoba Bhave.[31]Wolpert, Stanley A. (April 1991). 12 Things You Should Know About Paarpan (Brahmins) of Tamil Nadu

Here are 12 things you should know about Paarpan (Brahmins) of Tamil Nadu. These points are transcript prepared by Suthamalli Ganga. (If you understand Tamil, you can listen to the video at the end of this post)
  1. Why paarpan, not Brahmin – because today’s ‘brahmins’ were doing astrology like others carpentry, or agriculture. Paarpan, a Tamil word for the ‘looker’, ‘marker of future or astrology’ is the self-generated profession of 5% of people who call themselves as a brahmin, because they claim that they came from the mouth of creator ‘brahma’ and rest from lower parts to indicate their lower status.
  2. Parpaans’ Rigveda has Varna or colour system codified in its chapter 10 called Purusha Sutra with the Bhagawat Gita (inserted in Mahabharat – which is the story of a paarpan king, killing Buddhist king by treachery, staring the establishment of paarpan power in India) confirming that assertion. Bhagavad Gita Chapter 4, poem 13 glorifies the four-varna system (degrading the majority as shudra and such hard-working farming communities as untouchables)
  3. Go to a group or meeting – A Christian will handshake you, a Muslim will hug you but a paarpan Hindu (Iyer) will say ‘namaskaram’ or ‘namaste’ from a distance because he believes in untouchability
  4. One can become a president but not a priest in Hindu temple because it in India social power is higher than political power (now a paarpan has political power also along with administrative power)
  5. Hindus God starts with Varna, purity, caste because it declares that the creator Brahma – created 5% Brahman from his mouth (95% rest from lower parts to degrade the rest)
  6. Today’s paarpan never tender apology, but only does escapism by saying that what he got to do with their forefather’s mistake injecting caste hierarchies and no corrective actions as well and enjoying all the privileges.
  7. Look at the percentage of 5% paarpan in the judiciary, an administrative service which goes up to 80%. Doesn’t it tell that the paarpan they are holding, all administrative powers along with social and political power even after 70 years of independence?
  8. Hinduism is stamping a lower hierarchy for non-brahmins by grading people based on birth. No other religion has degrading mechanism by birth.
  9. We don’t protest other religions, say Christianity or Islam for having parts such as (protestant/catholic) or Shia and Sunni because parts don’t degrade as caste. The earlier parts such as saivam, vainavam, saitram don’t harm as they only look different ways of looking into one faith and we don’t dislike religion per se, but don’t believe in the idea of God.
  10. Saying, ‘I am a Brahmin’ is like putting a board on your door saying, ‘sacred women live here’ as if the rest of the neighbours are doing prostitution.
  11. Parai is music, a dance form, an art form that includes the music for the war declaration. But reducing Parai only to music for the funeral is wrong. Then paarpan should play their veenai, which is apt for funerals.
  12. Today’s Indian Brahmin or Paarpan were originally from the present-day Syria, who speak Sanskrit. Current research says that these fair skinned were brought by brown and black skilled Tamils into India during their sojourns abroad for trade and war for millennia in some 40 countries and today 80 originals Tamils are living and mixed with other cultures.

Clear proof emerged from the site of 8000 Samanar's were massacred .

What happen to 8000 Samana's in the hands of Thiru Gnana Sampanthar and his followers? Or he was a scape goat and some body els was behind this physical elimination process?
According to Shaiva historians, they were defeated by  Sampanthar in so called "punal vaatham" and "anal vaatham". what is this vaatham? Vaatham is debate in Tamil, that mean they have to argue with ideological ground, just like any social debates. But this historic debate were occurred in a manner of black Magic.Sampanthar and Samana saints had put their palm leaves in  flowing water and Sampanthar's palm leaves did not gone with the water flow. This was the so called Punal vaatham. When they were put in fire and Sampanthar's  palm leaves did not burn in to ash. This was the Anal vaatham.Typical stories from  mental hospitals. So the King Ninraseer Nedumaran and his Brahmin gangs had massacred.
This holocaust was instigated by   Nayanar and his people. This nayanar is a Shaivite Brahmin.Who was the real culprit behind this heinous crime against  native people?  This episode is well glorified by the followers of Shaiva cult.I could not see any heroism or humanism in this brutal Kaluvetram massacre of Samana/Jain monks.
Who are those so called Samana's? They are sons of soil. They had many type of native believe systems.Generally they are Samanar's or Jain's.Actually this religion is not a religion in the sense of other organized religions.
Organized religion is entirely a foreign idea.It was brought up  by Brahmins, early christians and muslims.
Sanmargam or Samanam was practice in India, even before the invention of Vedham or Veda.Other name for this belief is Jainism, it's a twisted word of gyan or gnanam.

Un organize religion is a most liberal way of spiritual seekers. Narrow minded power hungers and self fish money suckers convert this liberal system as organize movements.Shaivism and Vaishnavism are simply a organized political movements with the spiritual colors. Brahmin spin masters took all ideas from Samanar's and just twisted everything according to their own agendas.

How genetics is settling the Aryan migration debate
New DNA evidence is solving the most fought-over question in Indian history. And you will be surprised at how sure-footed the answer is, writes Tony Joseph
The thorniest, most fought-over question in Indian history is slowly but surely getting answered: did Indo-European language speakers, who called themselves Aryans, stream into India sometime around 2,000 BC – 1,500 BC when the Indus Valley civilisation came to an end, bringing with them Sanskrit and a distinctive set of cultural practices? Genetic research based on an avalanche of new DNA evidence is making scientists around the world converge on an unambiguous answer: yes, they did.
This may come as a surprise to many — and a shock to some — because the dominant narrative in recent years has been that genetics research had thoroughly disproved the Aryan migration theory. This interpretation was always a bit of a stretch as anyone who read the nuanced scientific papers in the original knew. But now it has broken apart altogether under a flood of new data on Y-chromosomes (or chromosomes that are transmitted through the male parental line, from father to son).

Lines of descent

Until recently, only data on mtDNA (or matrilineal DNA, transmitted only from mother to daughter) were available and that seemed to suggest there was little external infusion into the Indian gene pool over the last 12,500 years or so. New Y-DNA data has turned that conclusion upside down, with strong evidence of external infusion of genes into the Indian male lineage during the period in question.

Real history of the Kanchi math !...It was only in the 20th century works, all compiled after Chandrasekharendra Saraswati

The Kumbhakonam math shifted to Kanchipuram in accordance with its
new story. In 1839 AD,
In article (K. Sadananda) writes: >
 In article , (digest editor)
; wrote:
; Kanchipuram, July 24 (PTI) The former President, Mr R Venkataraman, today inaugurated the year long 60th centenary celebrations of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, the head of the 2,500 year old Kanchi mutt, amidst religious fervour. Sri Jayendra Saraswathi is the 69th pontiff of the mutt, which was established here by Adi Sankara, who was the first 'peedapathi' (head of the mutt) from 482 to 477 bc. SIR May I bring to your attention that by all accounts Adi Sankara time was some where around 8th to 9th century AD. And of the four Matts that he established Kanchi is not one of them. Either the Mutt is less than 1100 years old or if it is 482 B.C. as is claimed in the news then it must not have been established by Adi Sankaracharya.

Please check the dates and the real history of the kanchi matt. Is there any one in the network that has better information about the Kanchi peetam? Sadananda Both this post and a previous one by Bon Giovanni have raised questions of historicity of Adi Sankaracharya and the Kanchi math. This is not a new question. It is generally accepted as tradition that Adi Sankaracharya, the famous Advaita philosopher, founded four maths (monasteries) at Sringeri, Puri, Dwaraka and Badrinath; that he ascended the famous sarvagna-pitha in Kashmir, and finally passed away near Kedarnath. None of the four recognized mathas claims jurisdiction over the other three. However, the Kanchi math claims that Sankaracharya established a fifth math in Kanchi, with jurisdiction over the recognized four mathas; that Sankaracharya ascended a sarvagna-pitha not in Kashmir, but at Kanchi, and that he passed away not in Kedarnath, but at Kanchi. These and other such claims have been widely publicized by the followers of the Kanchi math with the direct participation of and encouragement from the heads of the Kanchi math, including the recently departed centenarian Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati (C.S., for short) and his successor Sri Jayendra Saraswati (J.S.).

Why is that many Indians wrongly consider Hindi to be India's national language, when it officially has none?

1.Neither the Indian Constitution nor any Indian law defines any National Language for the country 2.India has more than 20 official languages with Hindi and English being the all India official languages of the state, namely the central government. 3.The Eighth Schedule to the Indian constitution lists 22 languages that the Government of India has the responsibility to develop.
HYDERABAD: At a time when an intense debate is going on in the two Telugu-speaking states over the behaviour of North Indian leaders towards their southern counterparts, TRS MP K Kavitha said Hindi-speaking and other north Indian parliamentarians get preferential treatment in Parliament whereas MPs from the South get little attention.
“Northern states are more populated than the southern. Because of this, there are more representatives from the north. Besides, several Prime Ministers who ruled the country in the past hailed from north. Because of all these factors, there has been discrimination against south Indian leaders for several years,” she told mediapersons in New Delhi on Monday.
Reacting to the ‘racist’ comments made by BJP leader Tarun Vijay on south Indians, Kavitha said strengthening the regional parties was the only solution to checkmate the north Indian hegemony which is due to the higher number of MP seats from north.
The TRS MP expressed admiration for TDP founder NT Rama Rao and Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu for trying to retain the identity of the southern people.
AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, tried to retain the individuality of the south at the national level with their respective regional parties, she said and praised both for their continuous efforts to strengthen regional parties in the country.

Taking potshots at the major national parties, BJP and Congress, the TRS MP further said, “Only after the advent of regional parties in the south has the voice of southern people begun getting heard at national level.”
On Tarun Vijay’s comments on the complexion of south Indians, she said, “His comments are very unfortunate. As he has already expressed regret for his unsavoury remarks, let us leave the issue there. But, by making such comments, leaders like him are lowering their stature.”

Exposing Jagannath Culture ... Fake Jagannath Culture replacing Buddha.  /;
The Jagannath Temple of Puri (Odia: ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ମନ୍ଦିର) is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Jagannath and located on the eastern coast of India, at Puri in the state of Odisha.
The temple is an important pilgrimage destination for many Hindu traditions, particularly worshippers of god Krishna and god Vishnu, and part of the Char Dham pilgrimages that a Hindu is expected to make in one’s lifetime.[1]
Why it is fake:
  1. Jagannath temple was built in the 12th century (Date of built 1161) before that there was no sign of the term Jagannath. It means the temple is only 2016-1161=855 years old. Where Buddhism and Jainasm contexts are present before the Jagannath & Christen era in Odisha. The kingdom of Kalinga had been annexed by the Mauryan empire Ashoka around 262-261 BCE. After the Kalinga War Ashoka (268-232 BCE) embraced the Buddhism. It proofs Buddhism was an active religion of Odisha in the age of Mauryan empire i.e. Buddhism in Odisha is older than the God Jagannath which is more than even 2248 years. The Hathigumpha cave (“Elephant Cave”) has the Hathigumpha inscription, written by Raja Kharavela, the king of Kalinga in India, during the 2nd century BCE. Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves are partly natural and partly artificial caves of archaeological, historical and religious importance near the city of Bhubaneswar in Odisha, India. The caves are situated on two adjacent hills, Udayagiri and Khandagiri, mentioned as Kumari Parvat in the Hathigumpha inscription. They have a number of finely and ornately carved caves. It is believed that most of these caves were carved out as residential blocks for Jain monks during the reign of King Kharavela. Udayagiri means “Sunrise Hill” and has 18 caves while Khandagiri has 15 caves. The caves of Udayagiri and Khandagiri, called lena or leṇa in the inscriptions, were dug out mostly during the reign of Kharavela for the abode of Jaina ascetics. Emperor Kharavela (150 CE), was a Jain ruler. Recent findings shows Buddha (563 BCE or c. 480 BCE) was born in Odisha and birth place of Buddha, Nepal is from fabricated origin due to declining Buddhism in India by Vedic promoters and wrong detection of the Buddha’s birth place by British archeologist that points to Nepal. If Buddha is from Odisha then Buddhism in Odisha is even more than 2500 years old.

2500 years old city found in Tamilnadu .. Keezhadi village near Madurai

The ASI’s excavations at Keezhadi near Madurai, its largest in Tamil Nadu, have unearthed hard evidence of the city’s existence in the Sangam Age of the Early Historic period. By T.S. SUBRAMANIAN

At Keezhadi, a village not far from the southern bank of the Vaigai river near Madurai, the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) is undertaking a massive excavation, possibly its biggest to date in Tamil Nadu. Already 42 trenches have been dug in two locations in a coconut grove at a place called Pallichandai Thidal in the village. K. Amarnath Ramakrishna, Superintending Archaeologist, ASI’s Excavation Branch VI, Bengaluru, is leading the excavation, which has thrown up quite a few surprises and is attracting many visitors, among them schoolchildren and tourists. Amarnath takes time off to explain to visitors the significance of the finds. One such is a “deep terracotta ring well with 13 rings” that promises to go down further. “Here we have a ring well in association with a structure built of big-sized bricks. This is a peculiarity,” he tells a few visiting archaeology buffs. He contrasts this with the ring well excavated at Vasavasamudram near Kalpakkam (near Chennai), which stood independent of any other structure. The same is the case at Arikkamedu near Puducherry, he adds.

Interfaith Coalition Clashes With Hindu Groups Over Portrayal of India in California Textbooks

A coalition of 24 organizations representing several South Asian cultures clashed with Indian American organizations representing traditional Hindu values at a May 19 hearing in Sacramento, Calif., before the Instructional Quality Commission, which is aiming to determine how India and the Indian subcontinent should be portrayed in the state’s elementary school textbooks.
The IQC — an advisory body to the California State Board of Education — has been grappling with the issue for over a year, sorting through differing missives from the Hindu American Foundation, the Hindu Education Foundation and the Uberoi Foundation, which contrast widely with views from the coalition, known as South Asian Histories For All and the South Asian Faculty Group, which represents academicians immersed in South Asian studies at universities across the state.
After the hearing, the Commission approved a new framework which will not replace mentions of India with South Asia in history and social science textbooks for pre-1947 references. It also agreed to replace the word "untouchable" with "Dalit,” as requested by many Dalits who testified during the hearing. The recommendations of the IQC will come up for final approval by the State Board of Education, at hearings on July 13-14.

Modiji, you need to speak your mind on the future of pluralism: Carnatic singer TM Krishna

Honourable Narendra Modi-ji As I penned this piece, I heard of your words at a rally in Bihar, instead of deterring me from writing to you, it has only further strengthened my resolve that this needs to be said. Over the last week or more we have witnessed what can only be described as the molestation of a human tragedy, the perpetrators of this crime being politicians coloured green, saffron and the various shades of every other colour, all no less sullied. As individuals, partymen, members of the ruling class and the opposition benches they have vulgarised the very soul of compassion and empathy. This is for certain not a new phenomenon and only another sign of who we are, or may be we have always been this way!

Jaffna ..Yapania Jains

The person who has skill to twist the word Yapania to Yazhpanam was very potential script writer. according to his story , There was a blind  Harp or yazh instrument player. One time he was played his  harp or yaazh in the court of Jaffna king. As a blind person he had to hide behind the screen and played his so called Yazh instrument. The king was impress by his music and donate  a land called Manarri. So the land gifted to Yazh player becomes yazhpaanam .Paanar means singer. Its  a good story for a drama.
This story has all imaginary beauty. Blind person playing Music in behind the screen of  Royal court is very good scene for any cinema.  His music was attracted the King then he had donated huge village as a gift to the blind Musician so the land become Yazhpaanam. What total fiction presented as a history to the generations? What is base for this story? None .
In jaffna no body ever saw that instrument so yaazh or inidan harp. People also not very music supporters to believe this heritage of music or so called yaazh players. This type of soft fine art nature is not existed in the history of jaffna  Instead of music this Jaffna  has a history of rigid religious rules and practice such as viradhams.
The name of the city of  Yazhpaanam or yarlpaanam is not comes from the folkloric story of blind  Yazh (Indian Harp) Musician Yazhpaadi. Imagination further goes, The king should not see a blind person so he had listen his music behind the curtain. As usual king was attracted by his music and donated the land called manarri . This land then Re Christine as Yazhppaanam .  So called historians never try to bring any valuable reason to believe this story. These type of royal nostalgic  stories are  very common in India.

Kalapirar - Is it a dark History ?

களப்பிரர் - Kalabhras come into Tamil history around 3rd century. They ruled over the tamil heartland for over three centuries. Later from the 7th century onwards, we get to see the dominance of Pallavas, Pandyas and cholas. Unfortunately, there is very little "popular" historic details about this clan. Very easily the historians have skipped three hundred years and termed it as an interregnum - இருண்ட காலம். The joke is, the most famous tamil literature - Thirukural is from this period. Other classics are Naaladiyar, Inna Narpathu, Iniyavai Narpathu..and many such much for being இருண்ட காலம்!

Jeyamohan, in one of his recent blogs - களப்பிரர் has undermined the importance of researching about this period and why the three hundred years of history has been showcased as a virtual black hole. Interesting read for history enthusiasts.

Massacre of Jains/samanar at Annigeri: Archeological Evidence Found

Annigeri is a town near Hubli in Dharwad District of Karnataka. Recently the archeology department has found 601 human skulls in an excavation. The skulls date back to 10th to 12th century. According to reliable sources, Archeology Department has found very important materials and references mentioned in the Bombay State Dharwad Gazetteer about a massacre that took place near Annigeri.

J M Nagaiah, associate professor of Dr RC Hiremath Institute of Kannada Studies ( KUD), has said that he has discovered the inscriptions, one each at Hottur near Shiggon taluk of old Dharwad district, and at Gawarwad near Annigeri.

According to the Hottur inscription, Chola emperor Rajaraja, during an expedition, had attacked Belaval-300 province with the help of his nine-lakh-strong army and captured Annigeri during 1007-08. The emperor then tried to forcibly convert people into Shaivas (followers of Lord Shiva). He is also said to have ruthlessly chopped people, including children, who refused to be Shaivas. King Sataysharava Irive Bemdag of Chalukyas of Kalyan was ruling Annigeri then.

Separate housing colonies for Aryans thereby legitimizing the caste system

The struggle between Sanskrit and Tamil which started during the times of Tamil grammarian Tholkappiyar [865 B.C] triggered a grammatical rule to eschew Sanskrit letters. This rule enunciated by Tholkappiyar is the starting point of Dravidian movement says Dr. S.Rajendiran in his Doctorate thesis “ Tamizh Kavithaiyil Dravida Iyakathin Takkam”. Even during the Sangam age we can find the Aryan influence and infiltration into literary texts corrupting the original version. It is known as Idaiserugal. But only in the Pallava period Aryan influence got entrenched deeply. Separate housing colonies for Aryans thereby legitimizing the caste system led to the upward mobility in social ladder of the Aryan peoples. Dr.K.K.Pillai who wrote a book “ The Caste System In Tamil Nadu” holds the above said view.

The Pallavas imposed taxes on agriculturalists and traders but exempted the Aryans. Sekkukaranam [Tax for oil extraction] Thattarakaranam [Tax on Goldsmiths] Paraikaranam [Tax on Musicians] were professional taxes, which Brahmins need not pay. This is revealed by the reports of the Archaeological Survey of India E.I. Vol XXXVI.No.20. pp 144-163.

As this method of worship was highly impressive and attractive, it was at once imitated. Especially after the advent of Appar and Sambandar

The essence of Brahminism was not idol worship. How came it then that the Dravidians built large temples in honour of their gods? The answer is simple. The Jains erected statues to their Tirthankaras and other spiritual leaders and worshipped them in large temples. As this method of worship was highly impressive and attractive, it was at once imitated. Especially after the advent of Appar and Sambandar, a period of miracles and piety was inaugurated and it was at this time that the whole country was studded with temples. (n.Tamilian Antiquery, No.2, p.23) It is further curious to note that, in the temples so constructed, a niche was given to each of the saints who in any way contributed to the revival of Saivism. In the great temple of Madura, as many as sixty-three Nayanars or Saiva devotees have been given a niche, each of them. One wonders if the saivaites had not borrowed this custom from the Jains who worshipped their saints in the way described , long before these Nayanars flourished. By far the most important of the Jain influnces that led either to the intellectual or moral uplift of the Dravidians was the establishment throughout South India of Matams and Patasalas to counteract the effect of Jain centres of learning and propagandism.” (Ibid. Pp.77-78)

The Jain contribution to Tamil literature forms the most precious possesion of the Tamils. The largest portion of the Sanskrit derivatives found in the Tamil language was introduced by the Jains. They altered the Sanskrit words which they borrowed in order to bring it in accordance with Tamil euphonic rules. One great pecularity of of Jain Tamil literature is that in some of the works which have become classical , Kural and Naladiyar, for example there is no mention of any God or religion. Not only Tamil literature but Canarese literature also owes a great deal to Jains. In fact they were its originators. ‘Until the middle of the the twelfth century it is exclusively Jain and Jain literature continues to be prominent for long after. It includes all the more ancient and many of the most eminent of Canarese writings’ Thus Rev.f. Kitt

8000 Samanar's were massacred in seventh century by Thiru Ghana Sampanthar

Ancient history of India reveals that there were three major religions in India. They were Brahaminism, Buddhism and Jainism (Nirgranthas). Latest research and excavation at Mohenjodaro and Harappa has shown that Jainism existed before five thousands year ago, even though Jains believe it to be eternal. "There is truth in the Jaina idea that their religion goes back to a remote antiquity, the antiquity in question being that of the pre-Aryan, so called Dravidian illuminated by the discovery of a series of great late stone-age cities in Indus valley, dating from third and perhaps even fourth millennium B. C." 1 Claims of Eternity Naturally the followers of every religious faith proclaim their religion as having its source in antiquity and Jainas are no exception to this. The traditions and the legendary accounts prove the existence of Jainism as eternal. Jainism is revealed again and again in every cyclic period of the universe by forty-eight Tirthankaras (twenty-four in each half cycle).

Sanskrit is much younger language than Tamil. Thousands of words were borrowed from Thamizh into Sanskrit.

Thamizh existed in India amongst the Dravidians several thousands of years before. Sanskrit was a language that was brought by Aryans those who entered India through the Kyber and bholan passes. Sanskrit is as such, much younger language than Thamizh. Thousands of words were borrowed from Thamizh into Sanskrit. Few examples are neer (water) and meen (fish). The linguistic research work done by the two greatest English linguists Caldwell and Burrow proves this fact that, Sanskrit has borrowed words heavily from Thamizh.

Sanskrit scholars attempted to Sanskritise Thamizh several centuries ago by the liberal use of Sanskrit words. They argued that such a liberal mixture enhanced the beauty of the Thamizh language and compared the hybrid language to an ornament made out of equal number of pearls and corals. Some of the Jain and Vaisnava Sanskrit scholars employed that style, however, it failed because of the naturally rich vocabulary and literary wealth of the Thamizh language.

Vijayamangalam Samana/Jain Temple

"Once a flourishing place of worship for the Jains in Kongunadu and said to date back to the 6th Century, the temple is now a neglected stone monument that has suffered the ravages of time. The temple, built by King Konguvelir, is an art lover's delight. According to the inscriptions in Pali and Tamil found on the pillars, a few Jain munis had attained mukthi here by fasting till death. The birth of Mahavira and his life is carved on the top as a panel.A dance mandapam, dating back to the 13th Century, is another highlight."

The shocking part of the coverage was "Unfortunately, the idol of Chandraprabha Tirthankar was stolen some months ago. Now only an idol of goddess Kushmandala Devi and that of Mahavira remain. "

More from the article "There are similar shrines in disrepair at Thingalur and Seenapuram, 10 km away. The one at Thingalur is set in scenic surroundings but is a nightmare once you open the door, as it is now a haven for bats. The priest hurriedly clears up the bat droppings to reveal a temple that must have stood out for its architecture centuries ago. "

This is originally a Jain temple converted by Ramanujam/Sankaracharya around 8th century A.D onwards along with 1000s other dravid temples.
.Complete idol is covered to hide its original identity. Balaji has been photographed on many occassions without Jewellary and it is found to be a Jain Standing Tirthankara Neminath which many brahmins believe and admit. Archaelogical scientists, honest historians have proved this to be a Jain temple.
Millions of people visit Balaji temple but no one know reality about this temple. It is truly a Dravid temple, which is confirmed by Archaelogical department as Jain temple. Many brahmins silently believe and agree that it is originally Jain temple converted by Ramanujam and Sankaracharya as 1000s of other dravid Jain temples converted, rechristened by Avatar philiosophy. No Historian can ever claim that there was any god by name Lord Venkateshwara.
Many historians world wide believe - any given old temple in southern part of India is originally a Jain temple. However it may have changed its name. Archaeological Senior officers (who chose not to comment much due to political dominance ) firmly believe that originally complete dravid population was Jain who were not fighters like aryans, and believers of Ahimsa, whose heritage was stolen by cunning aryans who came to India around 3500 years ago. For example Thirukural was product of dravid civilization ( written by Jain Saints) but later it was labelled as Hindu literature at the time Hinduism was not known with its present name around 1st century B.C.when sacrifice of animals and vaidic religion was in vogue.

“Kazhugumala" centre of Jaina learning for 300 years from the 8th century A.D

WE were completely unprepared for what awaited us as A. Gangadurai, the caretaker, opened the locks of the single gate near a barbed wire fence and led us down a flight of narrow steps hewn out of a hill at Kazhugumalai.
On the rock surface, frozen in time, was a superbly sculpted Jaina Tirthankara seated in the ardhapariyankasana pose on a lion pedestal, with a triple umbrella above his head. Around the enlightened one were celestial maidens, dancing inside coils of creepers or playing the flute or a percussion instrument. Their merry abandon signified the occasion of his attaining kevalagnana, or enlightenment. On either side was a chowrie (flywhisk)-bearer. Below them, two devotees stood with flowers in their hands.
In this bas-relief, Tirthankara Parsvanatha is shown with snake hoods over his head. The yaksha Dharnendra is seen protecting him, and Kamdan, who tried to kill him by throwing a huge piece of rock at him, is seen as surrendering. Yakshi Padmavathi is also depicted in the sculpture

Jains impact on Hinduism which had degenerated(a) untouchability (b) animal sacrifices in the yajnas,

The 23rd and the 24th Tirthankaras had tremendous impact on Hinduism which had degenerated because of (a) the practice of the untouchability of the shudras, (b) the animal sacrifices in the yajnas, and (c) the dominance by the brahmin caste in the religious matters. Both these Tirthankaras were kshatrias and were princes.
The followers of this religion believe that its roots within India are even older than the Brahmanism (Hinduism) which they believe came with the people ( the Aryans ) migrating from other parts of the world (near the Caspian Sea ). The naked statues resembling the Jain monks amongst the remains of the Indus Valley Civilization, do substantiate some of the claims. However, there is no conclusive evidence that most of the concepts in Hinduism came from outside India. In fact, even the Aryan invasion theory has not yet been proven . In those days, people from other parts of the world came to India in a gradual manner. India offered milder climatic conditions and where, agriculture was better developed than several other places in the neighbouring countries. Gradually, these people adopted the life style prevalent in India and that is how, it is a country made up of different kinds of people and in real sense, it is a melting pot.
Jainism lays heavy emphasis on non-violence (ahimsa) and the believers of this religion, whether a monk or a householder, follow a very strict, well disciplined life. In fact, the householders are supposed to evolve to the monkhood in the later stages of life as was the case with the Hinduism in the Vedic era.

Sanskrit... Myth and Truth

This article is not against to any body.History needs to be revisit again and again.Always there are untold stories in the past.Historians are basically story tellers. This article is very interesting and informative. It's highlighting very important side of Pre Aryan Era.`Anti-Sanskrit Scripture' by Shyam Rao. It is available for free public "distribution as per the Ambedkar Library Public Licence: You may freely
;distribute this work, as long as you do not make money from it.
Sanskrit is Dead Sanskrit is for all intents and purposes, a dead language. The Brahmans are in the habit of glorifying the era ofAnglo-Brahman colonialism; yet even during this `golden age' of Sanskritology when the likes of Max Mueller helped propagate the study of Sanskrit throughout the world, a mere handful of people spoke it. Nor was it, even during the hypothesised `Gupta Golden Age' spoken outside the closely knit circle of Brahmins, who jealously hid all knowledge, including that of Sanskrit, to themselves. As will be shown later on, nor did it exist during the Vedic Dark Age; Sanskrit arose as a mongrel language much later on. As per the 1951 Census, out of a total population of 362 million Indians, only 555 spoke Sanskrit ! Even languages like Italian and Hebrew, spoken by a handful of travellers, were more widely spoken than `Mother Sanskrit' ! This is evident from the following table :class=Number of Speakers as per 1951 Census ( Chat. 73-74 )Census of India reveals that a whole 356 people spoke the language in the entire Indian subcontinent, during what is considered a `Golden Age' for Sanskrit revival, the era of Anglo-Brahmin colonialism.
